Jonathan
Elwes FCA
After qualifying
as a Chartered Accountant, Jonathan spent 10
years with the Jardine Matheson Group in
Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore. In 1983
he joined the corporate finance team of
James Capel in London where he specialised
in flotations and privatisations including
that of Rolls Royce. In 1992 he
transferred into general management and was MD
of James Capel (latterly HSBC Investment
Bank) in the Netherlands and India. In
2002 he switched to asset management and was
Director International Sales for the
property subsidiary of Close Brothers.
He joined the Board of Freetrack Marine in
August 2007. Jonathan is a keen
aviator and has flown his Tiger Moth on many
expeditions including three in Russia.
